Meet the Character: Danielle Shvat

We all need a savior; someone who will hold our hand or hug us, will say a kind word at the right minute and uplift the spirit after a long day. But it's more than that. We need a connection to something bigger than us, familiar and yet remote, for inspiration and hope. And when hope runs dry we need someone to lead us in the fight, literal or otherwise, because there is a Promise.

A mere leader won't do; as charismatic as they can be, people see through it into their frail humanity. No; the need is deeper; it goes back hundreds of years. It's imprinted in the genes. The people want a Messiah. someone that they can follow, obey, betray, and eventually kill. For all Messiahs must die for their peoples; it's in their nature.

For a glimpse of a story of one such Messiah, Danielle Shavt, you can check my short stories collection "Kant's Last Walk". Below is an image generated by AI, but surprisingly close to what I had imagined of her.
